KL Rahul, the stand-in ODI captain for the South Africa series, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are the most likely to be promoted in the BCCI central contracts.
Rahul had even led the Indian Test team in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

The BCCI has four categories – A+, A, B and C – which carry annual retainership of Rs 7 crore, Rs 5 crore, Rs 3 crore and Rs 1 crore
Currently, Rahul and Pant are in the group A.
Based on sources they will join in A+ category which means they will earn Rs 7 Crores
