Great Gama is his ring name, and his original name is Ghulam Mohammad Baksh

He was born in the Punjab area of India to an ethnic Kashmiri Muslim family. His family has a history of producing world-class wrestlers.

Gama is also known to perform 3000 push-ups and 5000 squats every day.

As per reports, his daily meal consists of 1.5 pounds of crushed almond paste, 2 gallons of milk, seasonal fruit juice, and six birds.

Gama had his first important match at the age of 17 in 1895, when he fought wrestling champion Rahim Baksh Sultaniwala.

He was unbeaten for 52 years and is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Bruce Lee is believed to be a huge fan of Gama.

Gama Pahalwan stayed in Pakistan at the time of partition. However, during the riots, he saved the lives of several Hindu families.
