Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the owners of the IPL franchise, have now purchased another franchise in a different T20 league.
Knight Riders Group has acquired the rights to control and run the Abu Dhabi franchise in the UAE T20 league.
The Knight Riders group is led by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and includes Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta as co-owners.
Knight Riders also owns Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States.
The UAE T20 League is a professional franchise-based T20 format cricket league in which six franchise teams compete in 34 matches.
